My 1st Birthday...

Daddy holds my hand as I walk across the room toward a massive tower of something new.
Is this for me???

Everything here?

I can't believe how much work this is going to be, someone help me please! Thank you so very much everyone.
The presents were opened, which meant Mikayla has worked up quite the appetite. Time for her Birthday hat :) As you can see, she's still a little tired.
These Banana Buckwheat pancakes are so so so good.
Are they really going to keep me in this silly hat all day? I can't wait to see what kind of hat Daddy will have to wear on his Birthday.

All of my friends were here to help me eat breakfast.

My favorite Mosel restaurant (so Daddy says)

After the morning excitement, Mikayla took and nap. When she woke up (3 hours later) we all headed to Kloster Machern, our favorite brew house on the Mosel to soak up some sun and beer.
Daddy and I were tuckered out, so we decided to spend some time in the swing. By this time it really was my nap time so it was time for us to head home so I could sleep.

The Cake!!!

Mikayla slept another 2 hours after we arrived home. Once she woke up, it was time for the big event. Mikayla's very own towering cake made with lots of love by mommy. I'm not really sure what's going on...but it looks like it might be fun, and for me.

Do they seriously expect me to eat all of this?
Where do I take the first bite?

Oma Margaret help me please!!!
Mommy, why are you still taking pictures of me?

This is great!!
You're funny.
I wonder if they see me sticking my hand into the cake.
Margaret came over to help us celebrate.
Love the cake...............

Fun at the parade

I love my daddy - he is the best! And my mommy too.

I am trying to make a silly face like all the people in the parade. Just when you thought my Zoolander Magnum face was gone -- It's Back!

All this excitement makes a baby hungry ....

.....and thirsty.....

and tired.
