LITTLE MONSTERS

The little monster and wobble mousey stare out the window on their first Halloween Day. If you look REALLY closely abovermy blurry bottom lip you can see my little nubbin teeth that are popping into view.
BOO. What -- am I not scary?

Little Monster is so sweet right now.

story time tuesday

Mikayla gazing out the window wondering where all the leaves have gone to and wondering why it is all blurry and grey outside. She's sending GOOD LUCK to Daddy to use during his interviews today.

Sitting in the chair, staring at Sierra. Waiting for story time to begin.

Mommy obviously saying something hilarious. I was actually telling Mikayla stories about Auntie Tashy's thumbs and stinky feet. She couldn't believe it was true -- how could something on someone so sweet stink so bad? Just like Mikayla's bum -- which by the way, she gets from Daddy. I love you Tash :)

Mikayla's interest in the story peaked when I told her that Auntie Tashy was sending her something fun in the mail. She can hardly wait to see what it is. Her present must have been hand made by Santa himself since Auntie Tashy is practically his neighbor in Alaska. Now if Santa could only do something about sending that crazy Wasilla lady back to the Arctic - with her $160,000 wardrobe.

And after hours of telling Mikayla all about Auntie Tashy, she finally fell asleep in her stroller, while the dogs were rolling in the nastiest animal shize ever. We love story time.

grape picking in trittenheim

Today we went to Trittenheim to pick grapes with the squadron. Daddy did all the work, and I just hung out on his back. It ws a lot of fun -- mommy picked too, and took pictures.
The weather was spectacular and we had enough grapes to make 1500 liters of wine.

wine wagon

Last weekend we spent a few hours being carted around through the vineyards drinking and tasting wine. We had literally fallen back "on the wagon".
On our trip we had lots of bike company -- and some of them even carried their dogs in their packs.
The vine shaker causes vine thunder and all the luscious grapes fall into the vine shaker.
yummy grapes transferred into the tractor to be carted away and made into baccus juice.

That was then (at 6 weeks). It was very easy to prop her into whatever position we wanted.
This is now (6 months) -- and it's not so easy to prop her into any position that we want - she's a strong little cookie.
And this is the pouty look after i tried to PROP her the way I wanted too many times. A little stubborn and pouty, but still adorable.
